The information we collect and how we use it
In general, you can browse our Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. At various times, you may choose to provide us with your personal information. Personal information means any information that may be used to identify an individual including, but not limited to, name, personal or billing address, email address, phone number, credit card or debit card information, age and any other information that itself identifies or, when tied to the above information, may identify you as a specific individual. In certain jurisdictions, Internet Protocol (IP) address or unique device identification numbers may be considered personal information. We also collect browser and session data, IP addresses and/or unique device identification numbers, depending on the type of browser or device that you use to access our Site.
Something Fine collects personal information through the Site when you place an order for the purchase of products on the Site. Personal information we collect when you place an order through the Site is used to confirm and process your order, detect and prevent credit fraud or identity theft, provide you with information regarding your order, respond to your requests regarding your order, and to contact you if necessary.
We also collect personal information through the Site to respond to your requests for information. Something Fine uses online forms on which you are asked to provide your contact information. This information is used to respond to your requests for certain information regarding us and our products and services.
We collect personal information to allow you to use certain resources and online services available on our Site, including, for instance, to create and maintain wish lists, gift registries and personalized websites. Through this Site, you may provide information related to your wedding or special occasion, including dates and places of the rehearsal, wedding and reception, name, address and phone number of wedding guests, and information relating to your gift registry and honeymoon.
We may also use personal information we collect through the Site to tailor your experience at our Site, to show you content that we think you might be interested in, and to display the content according to your preferences. We may use your contact information to send you information and promotional materials about us and some of our partners (unless you choose not to receive such communications as described below).
Contests – Something Fine will periodically sponsor contests to give you the opportunity to win prizes. Your participation in these contests is entirely optional. Information we collect for such contests can include contact information and demographic information.
Anonymous Information – We may create anonymous records from personal information by excluding information (such as your name) that makes the information personally identifiable to you. We may use these records for internal purposes, such as analyzing usage patterns so that we may enhance our services. We also reserve the right to disclose any of such annonymized records at our discretion.
IP Addresses and Usage Information – When you connect to our Site, we record information concerning your use of the Site, such as the name of your Internet service provider, your IP addresses, information on the type of operating system (e.g., Windows Vista) and browser software (e.g., Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox) you are using, the time you access the Site, and the Internet address of any referring website and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our Site. This type of information help us to support and improve the Site, diagnose problems with our servers and for system administration. Unless you have opted-out of receiving communications from Something Fine, this information also helps us to send you communications about Something Fine, its products and services, and those of its partners. Your IP address is also used to help gather aggregated demographic information.
Online Surveys – Something Fine values the opinions and comments from all of our users, so we frequently conduct surveys. Your participation in these surveys is entirely optional. Survey participants are anonymous unless otherwise stated in the survey.

With whom your information is shared
In addition, we may make personal information (excluding credit card information) available to our business partners whose products or service we think may interest you. If you do not wish to receive such promotional communications from our business partners, see “The choices you have about the use of your information” below.
We also may share annonymized, non-personal information (such as cookies, IP addresses and aggregated information) with third parties who are not our service providers, including for example, for marketing and promotional purposes, but this information will not be shared along with your personal information or in a manner that would personally identify you.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, as requested by other government or law enforcement authorities, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable, including (without limitation) when we have reason to believe that disclosing the information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing interference with our rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when anyone else could be harmed by such activities.
The choices you have about the use of your information
As a user, customer, or contest entrant you will occasionally receive e-mail updates from us about material changes to our Site, special offers from us and our partners, new Something Fine services and other noteworthy news items about us and our partners. We hope you will find these updates interesting and informative. Of course, if you would rather not receive them, use the “Remove” link in the e-mail or follow any other specific instructions in the e-mail. Our Site also provides you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving such communications from us by clicking here. In other words, if you don’t want us or our partners to send you e-mails about our or their business, just let us know. However, Something Fine reserves the right to limit registration to the Site to those who will accept emails and to those who will provide the requested information. Also, we may continue to contact you via e-mail or other means for administrative or informational purposes regarding any orders you place or other transactions you conduct through the website.
Your ability to access, update or correct your information
At any time, you can view and/or update your personal profile information contained in your account(s) on the Site by logging in to your account on the applicable portion of the Site and following the appropriate instructions and links. However, even if you delete or change some personal information in our registration database, it may still be stored on our, or other third party databases (including those kept for archival purposes).
The security measures we take to protect your personal information
Something Fine uses commercially reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to maintain the confidentiality of the personal information we collect online. Our Site and servers are protected using standard industry practice. We review and update web security and security procedures regularly.
You may also have choices to limit third party access to your personal information. When you register for certain online services, you may have the opportunity to restrict third party access to personal information you disclose as part of such online service. For instance, if you register for online registry, you may select whether you wish to make your online registry available to your guests via a password. If you do not elect to make your registry available only via password (or if you create a registry that does not provide this option), anyone visiting our website will be able to search for your registry or other online services by using first and/or last names and wedding dates (and on some pages, city or state).
Despite the security measures we take to protect your information, please be aware that the security of communications sent over the Internet, including e-mail, is subject to many factors outside of Something Fine’ control and that no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Something Fine does not guarantee that the personal information you submit to us will be free from unauthorized third party intrusion.
